Service and parade to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War

The Lord Lieutentant of Oxfordshire, Hugo Brunner, is inviting members of the public to apply for invitations to a service and parade at Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

The event is being held on the afternoon of Saturday 9 July and the cathedral service will include reminiscences by Oxfordshire war veterans. Afterwards there will be band music and a parade.

The Oxford Bus Company is offering free travel to the centre of Oxford from each of its five Park and Ride sites to ticketholders.
