Oxfordshire Nature Conservation Forum
'Regard for Biodiversity'
Since October 2006 Parish Councils have been legally required to 'have regard for biodiversity' in all their parochial decisions. Just as 'health and safety' comes into all decisions taken so now does concern and support for local wildlife. Oxfordshire Nature Conservation Forum and its partners can help councils to comply with the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act, particularly if your parish is in a biodiversity 'hotspot' in the county where it is vital to look after your local wildlife.
